Ironbridge Gorge Museums are a series of museums relating the story of the world's first iron bridge dating from 1779. It was built to span a narrow gorge over the River Severn. The series of museums recreates life in Victorian times and features ceramics and social history displays. There is the Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron and Darby Houses, Blists Hill Victorian Town, the Coalport China Museum and Tar Tunnel, TMuseum of the Gorge, the Iron Bridge and Tollhouse, the Jackfield Tile Museum, Broseley Pipeworks and Enginuity and interactive design and technology centre.
Open all year 10-5. Some sites closed from Nov-Mar.
