Gladstone Working Pottery Museum

Gladstone Working Pottery Museum Situated in the middle of an area world famous for it's pottery, Galdstone Working Pottery Museum remains the only complete Victorian Pottery Factory. This factory is typical of those once common in the North Staffordshire area from the time of the industrial revolution in the 18th century. A pottery factory first opened on this site in 1787 and now it is your chance to discover how bone china tableware was made in the original workshops and see the giant bottle kilns which were last fired in 1960's. You can watch demonstrations of pottery making or try and have a go yourself. You will feel and live life as it was for the pottery workers and families many years ago. A great family day out.
